Back-To-School Welcome, Survey Link, and Jamboree Details

back to school announcement

Dear Parents, Families, and Community Members:

I am writing to you today as the new Interim Central Linn Superintendent, and I am incredibly honored and excited to join this community. I am committed to working collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure every student thrives in a positive and caring learning environment. My personal vision for public education is to see students learning and succeeding, whether in-person, hybrid, or remote, by building strong relationships, empowering student voices, and helping everyone understand their "WHY."

I believe in trusting individuals to do their jobs and creating an environment where every stakeholder has a voice. My door is always open, and I believe in addressing issues directly and keeping all parties informed regarding solutions. One of my goals for this year is to build confidence in a Central Linn public education. Confidence and support for something can be measured by a person’s willingness to recommend that product or service to a friend or neighbor.

One of the ways you can help me understand how we can improve our services is by participating in a quick 12 question survey. This survey is designed to measure your confidence in a Central Linn education and provide insight into how we might improve.  If you would take a few minutes to respond to this anonymous survey, I would really appreciate it. You may take the survey more than once if you have students in both the elementary and secondary school.

I plan on reporting results of this survey to families  later in the fall along with things we are doing to address concerns that get raised. These surveys are designed to be asked a few times a year, and we will also be asking staff and students for their feedback as well.

I am in the process of learning about the community and schools from stakeholders, so if you would like to set up a meeting with me, you can do so by emailing me at: rob.hess@centrallinn.k12.or.us or by contacting Dena Crowell at the district office who can put a meeting on my calendar. I look forward to meeting many of you in the coming weeks and months. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions, comments, or concerns.

Sincerely,

Dr. Robert Hess

Interim Superintendent
