The Central Linn Elementary School library supports literacy, curiosity, research, and lifelong learning. Students have access to age-appropriate fiction, nonfiction, reference materials, and other resources that support classroom instruction and independent reading.
Library and media learning helps students select appropriate books, explore new topics, locate reliable information, and use resources responsibly. Students develop skills in reading for both enjoyment and understanding while learning how to ask questions, conduct basic research, recognize authorship, and make thoughtful choices when using print and digital information.
The library works in partnership with classroom teachers to support Oregon’s academic standards and extend student learning across subject areas. Resources are selected to serve students with different ages, reading levels, interests, backgrounds, and learning needs.
Students are expected to care for borrowed materials and return them on time so that resources remain available to the entire school community. Families can support library learning by reading together, helping students keep track of borrowed items, and encouraging regular use of books and educational resources.
