What is Title IX?
Title IX is a landmark federal civil rights law that prohibits sex-based discrimination in educational programs and activities receiving federal funding. We are committed to upholding the principles of Title IX and ensuring equal opportunities for all students and staff.
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 states: “No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.” This law applies to all aspects of education, including:
- Admissions and recruitment
- Academic programs and courses
- Counseling and guidance
- Athletics and physical education
- Financial assistance
- Employment in educational institutions

Non-Discrimination
