Central Linn School District believes that the strongest career programs are built in partnership with the communities they serve. Our Career and Technical Education (CTE) Advisory Committees bring together local employers, skilled professionals, postsecondary partners, educators, and community members to help ensure that our students are learning the knowledge and skills they will need to succeed after graduation.
Advisory Committee members provide valuable guidance on industry trends, workforce needs, equipment and facility planning, certifications, work-based learning opportunities, internships, and the real-world skills employers expect from today’s graduates. Their input helps us keep our programs relevant, rigorous, and connected to the opportunities available in our region and beyond.
Current Programs of Study
Central Linn currently maintains Career and Technical Education Programs of Study in Construction Technology & Skilled Trades, and Agriculture.
These programs provide students with opportunities to develop technical skills, explore career pathways, participate in hands-on learning experiences, and prepare for employment, apprenticeships, military service, or continued education.
Programs Under Development
As we continue to expand opportunities for Central Linn students, we are actively developing additional Programs of Study in:
- Digital Art & Design
- Health Occupations
- Tech Design & Production
These programs are being designed with direct input from industry and postsecondary partners to ensure students graduate with skills that align with current workforce demands and emerging career opportunities.
Why Serve on a CTE Advisory Committee?
Advisory Committee members have an opportunity to make a direct and lasting impact on the future workforce of our community. Members help shape curriculum, identify emerging industry needs, recommend equipment and technology, support work-based learning experiences, and connect students with authentic career exploration opportunities.
You do not need prior experience in education to contribute. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about their profession and interested in helping students understand the opportunities available in their field.
