Field trips extend classroom learning by giving students opportunities to connect academic concepts with meaningful, real-world experiences. All CLSD field trips must have an identified educational purpose, receive administrative approval, and follow District requirements for student safety, supervision, transportation, accommodations, health needs, and emergency planning. Families will receive trip-specific information, including the destination, schedule, transportation, costs, meal or equipment needs, and student expectations. A signed parent or guardian permission form is required for participation, and approved volunteers or chaperones must complete District screening requirements and follow all staff directions, confidentiality expectations, and safety procedures.
